To deeply study the Party's arduous journey and enhance the historical mission and sense of responsibility of Party-member lawyers, on December 12, 2025, the Party Branch of Beijing Grandwin Law Firm organized all Party members and activists for Party membership to hold a thematic Party-building study session on Deng Xiaoping and the Transformation of China.

At the beginning of the activity, Jian GUAN, Secretary of the Party Branch, pointed out in his mobilization speech: "An in-depth study of Deng Xiaoping and the Transformation of China is to profoundly grasp the historical, theoretical and practical logic of reform and opening-up, and draw wisdom and strength from the Party's history of struggle. As legal practitioners in the new era, we must translate our learning outcomes into concrete actions of serving the overall interests and practicing law for the people, and contribute professional strength to building a rule of law China."

This study session adopted the combined approach of "leading study + discussion". Comrade Wang Yuan, a Party member, first gave a guided reading focusing on the core content of the book, highlighting Comrade Deng Xiaoping's historic contributions during the critical period of the Party and the country's development, especially the ideological essence of "emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts" and the great decision of reform and opening-up. Subsequently, all Party members watched relevant historical video materials and revisited that magnificent era.

In the exchange and discussion session, the participating Party members spoke enthusiastically in combination with the characteristics of the legal profession and their actual work. Lawyer Wang Yuwei, a Party member, said: "The rule of law thought advocated by Comrade Deng Xiaoping laid a solid foundation for the establishment and development of the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics. As lawyers, we are not only witnesses but also participants and promoters of the rule of law construction. We must adhere to the correct political direction, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of parties in accordance with the law, and promote social fairness and justice."

Partner Jian GUAN, Director of the Law Firm, concluded and emphasized that this study is not only a review of history, but also a baptism of thought and an empowerment of motivation. He required all Party members to: first, continuously strengthen theoretical study and consolidate the foundation of faith; second, integrate learning outcomes into the whole process of legal practice, abide by professional ethics and practice law in good faith in accordance with the law; third, dare to take responsibility, actively participate in public welfare legal services, earnestly fulfill social responsibilities, and demonstrate the good demeanor of lawyers in the new era.

Everyone expressed that they would take this study as a new starting point, remember history, pioneer and innovate, devote themselves to the practice of law-based governance across the board with more enthusiasm and more professional services, and strive to be good lawyers satisfactory to the Party and the people.
