Grandwin Supports the 19th Annual Conference of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, Focusing on Corporate Overseas Compliance and Risk Management

From January 22 to 23, 2026, the 19th Annual Conference of China Machinery and Electronic Import and Export Enterprises, themed "New Landscape, New Momentum, New Pathways," was successfully held in Beijing. Hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), the conference brought together over 600 representatives from business regulatory authorities, industry associations, and enterprises across the machinery and electronic equipment manufacturing industry chain. Representatives from authoritative institutions such as the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange attended and provided guidance. During the event, attendees also visited leading enterprises such as JD.com's headquarters and Lenovo's Future Center, creating a comprehensive industry gathering integrating policy interpretation, trend analysis, practical exchange, and on-site visits.

As a supporting unit of this year's conference, Beijing Grandwin Law Firm participated throughout and contributed to the smooth execution of the event. During the core session on "Innovation in Overseas Expansion Models and Risk Management," Jian GANU, Managing Partner of Beijing Grandwin Law Firm, was invited to deliver a keynote speech. Focusing on compliance challenges and response strategies in the process of corporate overseas expansion, he provided forward-looking and practical professional insights for attending enterprises.

Against the backdrop of profound adjustments in the global economic and trade landscape, enterprises face increasingly complex friction risks when expanding overseas. Under the title "Economic and Trade Friction Risks and Compliance Strategies for Enterprises Going Global," Partner Jian GANU drew upon his extensive cross-border legal service experience to provide an in-depth analysis of current core dynamics in global economic and trade frictions: the rise of unilateralism fostering a tendency toward a "law of the jungle," with unilateral sanctions and stringent domestic regulations becoming primary tools, and discriminatory measures against Chinese enterprises continuing to increase; challenges to the multilateral trading system, with the paralysis of the WTO Appellate Body weakening the enforceability of international rules; and market uncertainties further exacerbated by tariff barriers and industrial chain reshoring policies in some countries. He also systematically outlined four major trends in trade restrictive measures—diversified restrictions based on origin, values, ownership, and security—precisely identifying compliance vulnerabilities that Chinese enterprises urgently need to address in their internationalization process.

In response to these risks, Partner Jian GANU proposed five key strategies: leveraging tariff advantages under free trade agreements with the United States and Europe; mitigating "surrogate country" risks by establishing operations in "market economy countries"; optimizing origin through substantial processing; enhancing transparency management in funding and supply chains; and designing more resilient equity and overseas expansion structures. Each recommendation was elaborated with reference to WTO rules, customs practices in Europe and the United States, and real case studies, providing clear and actionable pathways for enterprises to address overseas challenges, which were highly praised by participating companies.

As a specialized law firm long dedicated to foreign-related legal services, Grandwin has accumulated extensive experience in building corporate overseas compliance systems, addressing economic and trade frictions, and conducting tariff planning. Its participation in this top-tier industry event not only showcased the firm's professional capabilities but also reflected its commitment and responsibility to support Chinese enterprises in expanding overseas steadily.

Looking ahead, Beijing Grandwin Law Firm will continue to center around Partner Jian GANU, leveraging its professional team to provide more refined and customized legal support tailored to the full-process compliance needs of enterprises going global.
