Partner Jian GANU Invited to Share Insights on WTO and International Trade Law Practice—Grandwin Law Firm Contributes to WTO 30th Anniversary Lecture Series

On the evening of November 25, 2024, Jian GANU, Managing Partner of Beijing Grandwin Law Firm, was invited as a core speaker to the 27th session of the lecture series "The Future of the Multilateral Trading System: Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the WTO." He delivered a professional presentation focusing on "WTO and International Trade Law Practice." This lecture was a key academic event organized jointly by six academic institutions, including the Chinese Society of World Trade Organization Law of the China Law Society, the School of International Organizations at Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and the Law School of East China University of Science and Technology, in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of the WTO’s establishment on January 1, 2025.


Jian GANU currently serves as the Managing Partner of Beijing Grandwin Law Firm and is a member of the Independent Advisory Oversight Committee of the World Intellectual Property Organization. He possesses profound theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience in the field of international trade law. During the lecture, drawing on his professional practice and background in international organizations, he systematically analyzed fundamental WTO principles, challenging issues in international trade law practice, and emerging industry trends, building a bridge between theory and practice for the audience. The lecture was moderated by Professor Guohua Yang of the Tsinghua University Law School, and the two engaged in an in-depth dialogue and exchange on legal practice within the multilateral trading system.


As a key segment of the WTO 30th Anniversary Lecture Series, this event was held online via Tencent Meeting and attracted numerous scholars, lawyers, and industry professionals. The series comprises 30 sessions, bringing together insights from many leading experts and scholars in the field.
